KGB is a game of paranoia. Unmarked cars are after you and you need to get away.
Equipment
Coloured bands or flagging tape to mark runners, vehicles for the KGB.
Playing Space
A neighborhood (a neighborhood 1-3 miles across is ideal). A distinguishable point A and point B on opposite sides of the neighborhood.
Number of Players
The game requires a minimum of 25 people. You divide the group into "runners" and "the KGB". Runners are people who will travel on foot and the KGB are people who will drive trucks (cars work too but trucks are ideal). Usually about 90% of the people are on foot and 10% in trucks.
Rules
It's simple. Whoever is the first runner to travel from point A to point B without being seen by the KGB wins.
The game starts with all the runners at point A and the KGB dispersing into the neighborhood.
If a KGB sees a runner, the KGB honks the vehicle horn and the runner must stop and get into the KGB vehicle to be transported back to point A.
The runners start running (or walking) and every time they see headlights, they dive into bushes, backyards, pools, moats, etc., waiting for the car to pass. Runners must primarily stay on the roads and access roads, only to evade sight of passing vehicles may runners enter private property. Shortcuts through backyards are not allowed.
KGB drivers may travel with a passenger who is given a Nerf blaster. If a runner does not willingly get into the vehicle or makes an escape attempt, the KGB passenger may shoot the runner with the Nerf blaster which results in a time penalty before starting to run again.
